She shows great awareness in her own zone, reads plays early, and consistently makes smart, simple decisions under pressure. She’s reliable in one-on-one battles, isn’t afraid to compete hard in the corners, and does a great job using her stick and positioning to shut down chances. Sydney plays smart with great defensive awareness, always finishes her check, and moves the puck well.
Her heads up play helped us to win gold this weekend in Morinville.
