Why is this player being nominated?
February was a big month for our team as we attended the Alberta winter games. Although Emery is a first year on this team she is a reliable teammate that everyone feels comfortable around. Our team stayed together overnight for 3 nights and 4 days. Emery was always there to help clean up, keep the girls focused, and most of all she has a calming effect not only with her teammates but her coaches as well. Emery's performance at the Winter Games was nothing short of remarkable. Leading our team in points, she played a pivotal role in securing a bronze medal for us. Now that regular season has come to an end Em’s impressive scoring record places her third in the league for rookie points, but it is her heart and determination that truly set her apart in the eyes of her peers and coaches. Em never backs down from a challenge, she’s the first one to take on the toughest biggest opponent. She never quits and always comes through for our team whether it’s a back check, block shot, or big goal we can always count on Em Dog.
