Welcome to the Bow Valley Timberwolves

Program Description:

Bow Valley Timberwolves offer an AA hockey program for members of the Banff, Canmore, Cochrane, Cremona, Morley and Sundre Local Minor Hockey Associations.   Timberwolves offer programs for PeeWee, Bantam and Midget aged players.   Teams play in the South Central Alberta Hockey League (SCAHL) which offers excellent competitive hockey and prepares players to go on to play in Bantam AAA, Minor Midget AAA and Midget AAA programs, as well as Junior and Major Junior hockey.  Players are carded through Cochrane Minor Hockey Association, who administers the program.  Participation is by competitive tryout, with equal preference to players from all the participating minor hockey associations.

Registration:  Bow Valley Timberwolves have a separate registration process although Players are encouraged to also register with their local minor hockey association program in case they do not make their AA team.  Interested players who are not resident in the Cochrane Minor Hockey Association area must complete and submit Hockey Alberta permission forms for both the tryout camp, and also for the conditioning camp.  

Tryouts:  Bow Valley Timberwolves run a conditioning camp and then a tryout camp in early September each year.  During tryouts Timberwolves do make an effort to communicate with AAA tryouts and community tryouts that may be underway at the same time, but warn players that they are responsible for coordinating with othe teams to ensure that they are not disadvantaged due to schedule conflicts.

Coaches Wanted!

Bow Valley Timberwolves AA is accepting applications for Head Coaches for our AA Midget,

AA Bantam and AA Peewee hockey teams

for the 2010-2011 season. 

Preference will be given to coaches with NCCP Development 1 or higher certification.
